Summary of known hazards and risks to human health:

Acute exposure can severely irritate and burn the skin and eyes. Pain and blurred vision may lead to permanent damage of the eyes; may also cause irritation of the nose, throat, and lungs. Very high acute exposures can lead to build-up of fluid in the lungs with severe shortness of breath. Symptoms of high acute exposure include headache, dizziness, weakness, and passing out.
Allyl alcohol is mutagenic; carcinogenicity, reproductive and development effects not yet determined.
Chronic exposure may cause liver and kidney damage, as well as irritation of the lungs. Repeated exposure may cause bronchitis to develop with cough, phlegm, or shortness of breath.
Absorbed through intact skin in toxic & even lethal concentrations. Dermatitis of variable types and degrees results, in addition to first and second degree burns with vesiculation
